Macleans College Zonta Club members recently gained insight into the fascinating field of forensic science during a session with Paige McElhinney.

Paige is a Forensic Scientist and Co-Director of The Forensic Group, a women-led organisation. She explained what forensic science involves and addressed some common misconceptions about the profession.

Students also heard about real-world scenarios that demonstrated how forensic evidence can contribute to investigations. Paige shared her own journey into the field and introduced some of the inspiring women in science who have influenced her career.

The session gave Zonta Club members a greater understanding of the diverse opportunities available in forensic science. It also highlighted the contribution women continue to make across science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
