Day Relievers

Macleans College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Day Relief Teachers to support our students across a range of subjects.

We have a particular need for relief support in Commerce and Technology, although applications from teachers across all specialty areas are welcome.

As a Relief Teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment when our regular teachers are unavailable. You will help ensure continuity for students, minimise disruption to learning, and encourage students to make the most of their classroom time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by classroom teachers. 
  • Support students to remain focused and engaged in their learning.
  • Use digital platforms such as Google Classroom and Kamar to access information and record attendance. 
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff. 

Relief Teaching Opportunities

  • Day relief work offered on an as-needed basis.
  • Flexible hours to suit your availability.
  • Opportunities to support a range of subjects and year levels within a supportive school environment.

Teacher in Charge Classics 

Full-time, permanent, 1MU

At Macleans College we are seeking an experienced Social Sciences Teacher to join our team. This position involves leading Classics, with experience in NCEA and Cambridge considered highly desirable. The role is responsible for Classics and will likely involve teaching junior Social Studies. A commitment to evidence-based learning pedagogy focussing on explicit instruction from a knowledge rich curriculum is expected. 

The successful candidate will enjoy our facilities and a well-resourced curriculum set within a fast-paced environment. At Macleans College, all teachers contribute to our extensive extra-curricular programme, supported by a caring and dedicated team.
