Media Studies

Macleans College is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Media Studies teacher to enhance our expanding media community.
This opportunity is for a professional who is keen to be involved in the growing of young people from Year 9 to Year 13 and (ideally) contribute to our scholarship programme.

The role:

  • Develop and support: Play a pivotal role in the advancement of our Media Studies curriculum, ensuring a knowledge-rich learning experience that spans various media contexts;
  • Industry expertise: Bring your valuable media industry experience or diverse teaching background to inspire and educate our students;
  • Production mastery: Utilize your production skills to guide students in film production and other media projects;
  • Event Production: Help organise the 'Macademy Awards', our annual celebration of student filmmaking talent; and
  • Innovative Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Head of Department and Head of Faculty to build initiatives that fuel the passion for media, including filmmaking competitions.

Drama and Dance

Full time, permanent

Macleans College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of Drama and Dance to join our highly successful Performing Arts faculty.

As a member of the Music, Drama and Dance team, you will be well-resourced and supported. You will have the ability to teach Dance at junior level (Years 9 and 10) and Drama (up to Year 11).

This is a full-time teaching position in a fast-paced and busy faculty, where collaboration is key to success. First-year teachers considered. The ability to teach another subject may also be advantageous.

All staff are expected to participate in the college's extensive extra-curricular programme.

Macleans College is looking for a teacher who can teach food subjects and familiar with the Technology curriculum.

This is a supportive department in a well-resourced school. The Technology department is newly built, with good facilities.

Macleans College is looking for an experienced mathematics teacher. The position is likely to include a mix of senior and junior classes. There is a possibility of teaching CIE.

Experience and a willingness to teach Scholarship calculus and/or Scholarship Statistics in the future would be advantageous.

Start date by negotiation. Full or part-time.

This position carries one management unit - responsibility to be confirmed.
