We are seeking a forward-thinking careers advisor to join our welcoming, student-centred careers team. In this role, you will support students to develop their career management competencies in one-to-one interviews and in career education classes. You will be part of a team that supports teachers to integrate careers information. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be highly collaborative.

Applicants will be fully registered teachers with a strong background in the secondary education sector.

Macleans College Development Manager

Do you have experience in Business Development, Events or Sales and want to increase the opportunities available to Macleans College students?

About the role

Ideally you will have a connection to Macleans College and bring your events, business development or sales experience to help us build partnerships that enable us to deliver more opportunities for our students.

Key tasks

  • Establish relationships and build partnerships with the Macleans College community, Alumni, local businesses and our supplier network
  • Design and host events
  • Secure additional resourcing

Skills and experience

  • A strong network of connections in the Macleans and East Auckland community
  • Demonstrated ability in building partnerships and securing funding
  • Event organisation

The package

  • This is a 30 hour per week role with a base salary of $70,000.
  • Phone, laptop and office at school.
  • Commission to be negotiated.
