All homestay families for Macleans College international students are carefully chosen to provide a safe, stable and welcoming environment.

Families are selected based on their ability to support young people studying in New Zealand and to create a positive home-away-from-home experience.

Every host family undergoes a thorough selection and vetting process before being approved to host international students.  This includes:

• Home visits and suitability assessments
• Evaluation of the family environment
• Confirmation of their ability to support international students

Only families who meet these standards are approved to host Macleans College students.
