Contacting the School

Email [email protected] to report a student absence.

If parents are concerned about a student they should.

  • Telephone the college office on 535 2620. A voicemail system may be used to contact staff.
  • Give the student's name, form class and whānau house.
  • Ask the house leader or other staff member to contact them.
  • Parents may ring the school at any time for brief information on day to day matters on the voicemail.

If parents wish to locate their children during the day or after school, we request that they enquire at the school office. Visitors to Macleans College must report to the administration office.

Note: Often parents contact the school expecting automatically to speak to the Principal about matters concerning their sons and daughters. Since student-related matters are delegated to other senior staff, parents are requested to contact the appropriate house leader who is essentially the Principal of his or her own small school. If the matter is urgent, parents may wish to speak to the Associate Principal, or Deputy Principals.

Parents are asked to keep the college informed of changes of address and changes in home or work telephone numbers.
