Climate and what to pack

A mild and changeable climate

Auckland has a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters.  The weather can change quickly, and students may experience sunshine, rain and wind in one day.

Seasonal guide:

  • Summer (December - February): Warm, sometimes humid, around 20-25°C
  • Autumn (March - May): Mild with some rain and cooler evenings
  • Winter (June - August): Cool, around 10-15°C, with more rain
  • Spring (September - November): Mild with sunshine and occasional showers
