Students can visit many of New Zealand’s most popular attractions, including beautiful beaches, national parks, mountains, lakes and famous cities such as Rotorua and Queenstown.  These destinations offer opportunities to experience outdoor activities, Māori culture and local life.

Short trips with host families and school-organised excursions are permitted.  These are a great way for students to explore nearby areas in a safe environment.

Travel guidelines

Independent travel, or visits to friends and family may have restrictions.  Students must always seek approval from the International Department before making any travel plans or bookings.
