Three medals for Macleans College at Senior Auckland Badminton Championships

Macleans College badminton players achieved three medals at the Senior Auckland Badminton Championships, including gold in the Girls’ Doubles and silver in both the Girls’ and Boys’ Doubles competitions.
The Girls’ Doubles final was an all-Macleans College contest, with Melody Cai (Kupe House) and Rosie Yang (Kupe) facing their teammates Alicia Cao (Upham) and Mia Xu (Mansfield). In a closely contested match, Melody and Rosie secured the gold medal, while Alicia and Mia claimed silver.
Austin Cai (Rutherford) and Ocean Liu (Batten) also delivered a strong performance in the Boys’ Doubles competition, finishing as runners-up to secure silver medals.
The students represented Macleans College with commitment and sportsmanship throughout the championships. Their achievements are a credit to their hard work and dedication and provide a strong foundation for further success on the badminton court.
