Macleans College team places third at Japanese Trivia Championships

Macleans College Japanese students celebrated a strong result at the 2026 New Zealand Schools Japanese Trivia Championships, with one team placing third in the Auckland competition.

Held at venues across New Zealand, the championships brought together students to test their knowledge of Japanese language, culture and general knowledge while meeting and competing with other Japanese learners.

The quiz featured five categories: Sport and Festivals, Pop Culture, Geography, Food, and Daily Life.

Macleans College entered two teams in the Auckland competition, with both representing the school with enthusiasm, teamwork and excellent effort throughout the event.
