Students unite for Amnesty International Day at Macleans College

Posted on May 27, 2026

Amnesty International Day at Macleans College was a student-led event that raised awareness of human rights and international issues.

Members of the Macleans College Amnesty Group organised information stalls, interactive activities and fundraising initiatives that attracted strong participation from students across the school.

Students explored displays highlighting key global issues, took photos with themed frames and contributed to a handprint mural.  Ribbons, pamphlets and merchandise were also distributed to help promote awareness throughout the school community.

The event included a bake sale and soda stall, which raised funds in support of Amnesty International.

Amnesty International Day brought students together in support of important causes.  It encouraged greater awareness, compassion and community involvement, while showing how students can work together to create positive change.
