Macleans College students have raised more than $17,000 for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand through Shave for a Cure 2026.
The record-breaking total is the highest raised by Macleans College since the school began participating in the event.
Eighteen students took part in the student-led fundraising event, which aims to raise money and awareness for people affected by leukaemia and other blood cancers.
In front of a lively crowd, students shaved or cut their hair as a public show of support for the cause. Their willingness to take part helped create a memorable lunchtime while encouraging members of the school community to get behind the fundraising effort.
The final total of more than $17,000 reflects the generosity of students, families, staff and the wider Macleans College community. Every donation will contribute to support for people living with blood cancer and their families.
The students are congratulated on their commitment and courage and everyone who contributed to this outstanding fundraising effort is thanked for their generosity.
