Macleans College students help save lives through annual Blood Drive
Posted on May 15, 2025
Macleans College students and staff made a powerful impact during the recent annual mobile blood drive, hosted by the New Zealand Blood Service in the school gymnasium.
Their enthusiastic participation contributed to a life-saving effort - and a nearly record-breaking result.
Over the course of two days, 120 units of blood were donated. This was close to the target set for the visit and is enough to help up to 360 patients in need. The Blood Service expressed deep appreciation for the generosity and commitment shown by the students.
Special thanks go to the team of prefects who supported Blood Service staff and assisted fellow students throughout the event. The school also acknowledges the staff members who generously donated.
Macleans College looks forward to welcoming the Blood Service again next year for another successful drive.
