Smiles all round at Special Olympics Athletics Day

The students all took part in two or three track events each, including a 50m walk, 100m sprint, 200m sprint, as well as a 4 x 100m relay. They also had the opportunity to take part in all the field events on offer.

With big smiles on their faces when they received certificates, the students were able to experience the joy of competing in athletics. Staff were encouraged by the enthusiasm and pride displayed on the day.

The students are now thoroughly looking forward to next term's event which will be a football tournament.
