Skills and stamina tested at NZSS Junior Badminton Champs

The Macleans College junior badminton players competed in the Yonex New Zealand Secondary Schools Junior Championships 2019 from 26 - 28 November.

During this challenging competition the skills and stamina of the players were tested to its limits.  Determined to keep playing, the perseverance of the players shone through particularly when the games reached three sets. 

All players made a tremendous effort with the boys finishing in seventh place and the girls third in New Zealand, where they received bronze medals.

Congratulations to Ana Dahiya (Mansfield House), Janet Gu (Kupe), Elsa Ly (Batten), Shenae Suh (Kupe), Phoebe Yang (Batten), Hillary Zhong (Upham), Abhijot Malhi (Rutherford), Aayush Mogare (Snell), Daniel Wei (Rutherford), Joseph Wu (Te Kanawa) and Aiden Zhang (Te Kanawa) on their achievements.
