Senior media students complete filmmaking bootcamp

Macleans College senior media students took part in an intensive, hands-on filmmaking workshop held on campus on Sunday 22 February.

The day began with a practical camera skills tutorial.  Students then worked collaboratively to write scripts, film their scenes and edit their projects.  All films were completed within eight hours.

Throughout the workshop, students challenged themselves and developed their technical understanding of the filmmaking process.  They strengthened their skills in planning, production and post-production while working under time constraints.

By the end of the day, each group had produced a finished film and gained a stronger appreciation for the discipline and creativity required in filmmaking.
