Macleans College runners delivered strong performances at the Auckland Road Championships, with the Senior Boys securing third place in the 3-Person Team event and two runners finishing in the top 10.

Held at a new course at Bruce Pulman Park in Takanini, the championships brought together more than 400 students from 40 schools across the Auckland region. Cold southerly winds created challenging conditions but both races were fast-paced and highly competitive.

In the Intermediate Boys race, Tobias Crowhurst (Te Kanawa House) led the Macleans College runners with an impressive 13th place finish. Aidan Macmillan (Rutherford) finished 55th, followed by Kevin Andisheh (Kupe) in 71st and Michael Choy (Snell) in 73rd. The runners also combined to finish eighth in the 3-Person Team event, with 95 competitors taking part.

The Senior Boys produced an outstanding performance. Max Maddock (Upham) finished fifth and Max Wilkins (Mansfield) eighth, followed by Christian Geldenhuys (Batten) in 19th, James Whiteley (Kupe) in 24th and Luke Jardine (Snell) in 28th. The results saw the team finish third in the 3-Person Team event, with 48 runners competing.

Congratulations to all students for representing Macleans College with determination and commitment in challenging conditions.
