Run Club gains pace at Macleans College
Posted on May 05, 2025
The Macleans College Run Club made an impressive start in Term 1, with an average of 150 members attending regularly.
Participants run, socialise and most importantly, have fun. Running is a proven tool for supporting mental and emotional well-being. Research shows that regular running can reduce stress, ease symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improve sleep quality. It can also enhance brain function, helping students study more effectively.
As one student shared, 'I love running alongside my mates. You’d think you would be tired, but always by period one, I feel more refreshed than ever'.
All Macleans College students and staff are invited to join Run Club, regardless of fitness level or running experience. Whether seeking a relaxed morning jog or aiming to compete and improve pace, everyone is welcome. Visit Te Kanawa House on Wednesdays at 7.20 am and speak to a student executive to sign up.
Run Club looks forward to welcoming you.
