Macleans College Principal Steven Hargreaves has been awarded a Woolf Fisher Fellowship for 2027, recognising his contribution to education and providing an opportunity to gain insights from education systems around the world.
The Fellowship was presented by Derek McCormack of the Woolf Fisher Trust at a staff meeting on Monday 12 October 2026.
Established in 1961, the Woolf Fisher Fellowship is one of New Zealand's most respected professional learning opportunities for educational leaders. It recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to education and demonstrated excellence in leadership, learning and service. Recipients are selected through a rigorous nomination and assessment process.
The Fellowship enables recipients to visit schools and education systems internationally, bringing new knowledge and perspectives back to New Zealand to benefit education.
The Macleans College Board warmly congratulates the Principal on this significant achievement and acknowledges the Woolf Fisher Trust for providing this professional learning opportunity.
