Milestone Musical Revue Encore lights up Macleans College stage

Posted on May 14, 2026

This year’s musical production, Encore - a Macleans College Musical Revue, celebrated 30 years of full-scale musical productions at the college.

The revue featured 22 iconic songs from past productions, performed by a talented cast and accompanied by a live orchestra.

The fast-paced performance moved seamlessly from one well-known musical number to the next.  Full-cast performances, solos, ensembles and energetic dance routines kept audiences engaged throughout the show.  Video projections, created by Isaac Uammuang (Kupe House), guided audiences down memory lane.

Standout solo performances from Naomi Kwan (Snell), Maria Gonzales (Kupe), Bernice Han (Te Kanawa), Kardia Lee (Upham), Isabella Bishop (Upham), Elena Askin (Batten), Eric Yao (Upham), Dani Gonzalez Castro (Mansfield), Mathew Thomas (Mansfield), Elsie Swallow (Hillary) and Holly Bowen (Upham) were warmly received.  The dance ensemble also impressed audiences at every performance.

A fitting full house was present for the majority of shows, marking a significant milestone in the college’s proud performing arts history dating back to 1981.
