Year 11 Mana students spend a day in the Hunua Ranges

Year 11 Mana students at Macleans College recently stepped beyond their daily routines to explore the quiet strength of nature.
They spent the day tramping around Cossey’s Dam in the Hunua Ranges, reconnecting with themselves, each other, and the stunning landscapes of Aotearoa New Zealand.
The students threaded through native bush, admired waterfalls, giant kauri trees and pristine streams, and enjoyed breathtaking views throughout the forest. Along the way, they practised eco-tourism principles, leaving nothing behind but footprints.
The 11 Mana course is designed to support, inspire and challenge female students to realise their full potential - personally, socially and interpersonally. It emphasises health, fitness and overall well-being while equipping students with practical skills for financial and employment independence beyond secondary school.
