Year 10 Macleans College students Louis Boehme (Te Kanawa House), Markus MacDonald (Upham) and Simon Jacobsen (Mansfield) enjoyed outstanding success for their respective teams at the New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation (NZICF) U15 Representative Tournament held in Dunedin last month.

Auckland had two representative teams participating in this national round robin event – the Auckland Whites, captained by Louis, and the Auckland Blues, captained by Markus and Simon.

The event in Dunedin was the first stage of the national tournament. At its conclusion the Auckland Blues led with 16 points followed by the Auckland whites with 15 points. Markus was also the leading goal scorer with 28 goals.

The second stage of the tournament takes place in October.
