Posted on September 17, 2019

On Wednesday 11 September 78 Junior ESOL students and their teachers visited the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

While there the students participated in a museum led activity of Incredible Insects. This was held in the Weird and Wonderful section. The students were able to discover and explore the world of insects from all around the world. The presentation along with a question and answer session allowed the students to share their knowledge as well as learn some interesting facts.

They also explored many sections of the museum which enabled them to gain a wider knowledge of life in New Zealand. From the very top of the museum in the Pou Kanohi - New Zealand at War section, to the Origins galleries where they explored the world of dinosaurs and the origins of New Zealand’s unique plant and animal life and finally the Māori galleries on the ground floor.
