Gabby Watson receives Zonta Female Empowerment Award

Year 12 Macleans College student Gabby Watson (Te Kanawa House) has received the Female Empowerment Award at the Zonta Club of East Auckland’s Annual Awards Ceremony - recognising her leadership and commitment to supporting women and girls.
As one of Macleans College’s Zonta student leaders, she has taken responsibility for initiatives that encourage students to contribute to their wider community.
This year, Gabby has taken the lead in organising a donation drive for Women’s Refuge. She has coordinated the collection of essential items, mobilised fellow students to participate and raised awareness of the charity’s work across the school. Her efforts are helping gather practical support for women and children in need.
Through her initiative and hands-on leadership, Gabby has encouraged her peers to contribute to the wider community. The award celebrates her dedication to service and the positive example she sets for other students.
