Former Macleans College student cast in North Shore Music Theatre season of ‘Wicked’

Former Macleans College student Teresa Wojtowicz (Snell House 2009 – 2013) has been cast as Glinda in the North Shore Music Theatre season of ‘Wicked’.

The second-highest grossing musical on Broadway, Wicked is playing at SkyCity Theatre from September 2021.  It tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch).  The Auckland production will have a 40 strong cast of local talent, exquisite costuming and sumptuous sets and staging.

Teresa holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the University of Auckland.  In 2015 she was a recipient of the Marie D’Albini Scholarship for Performance.  She has also worked as a Junior Graphic Designer after completing a Diploma in Digital Design at Yoobee School of Design.

Teresa has played roles in Sweeney Todd, Die Fledermaus, and Phantom of the Opera.  She has also taken part in productions with Showbiz, NZ Opera, and Christmas in the Park.

During her time at Macleans College, Teresa won the Lee Cup for Musical Production and the Cultural Cup for Girls.  She had leading roles in the school productions of Les Miserables and Wizard of Oz.
