Exceptional results in Scholarship examinations

Recently the 2021 NZQA Scholarship results were released. Macleans College students were awarded a total of 129 Scholarships including 14 at Outstanding level.

Oliver Dai (Snell House 2017 - 2021) achieved seven Scholarships of which three were at Outstanding level, with Outstanding Scholarship in Calculus, Chemistry and Physics, and Scholarship in Geography, History, Religious Studies and Statistics. He has been recognized as a Premier Scholar, of which there were 12 awarded nationally. The award is worth $30,000.

Four students achieved Outstanding scholar. This award is worth $15,000. They are:

  • Judy Fong (Snell 2017 - 2021) – Outstanding Scholarship in English, and Scholarship in Classical Studies, History and Media Studies.
  • Rick Han (Snell 2017 - 2021) – Outstanding Scholarship in Calculus, and Scholarship in Chemistry, Physics and Statistics.
  • Annika Lee (Snell 2017 - 2021) – Outstanding Scholarship in Geography, and Scholarship in English, Health and Physical Education, History and Statistics.
  • Jessica-Hope Wei (Mansfield 2017 - 2021) – Outstanding Scholarship in Chemistry, and Scholarship in Biology, English, Media Studies, Physics and Statistics.

Maggie Xian (Mansfield 2017 - 2021) achieved Outstanding Scholarship (Top in Subject) for Design. This award is worth $6,000.

Fourteen other students were awarded three or more scholarships and will receive awards worth $6,000 each. They are:
