Exceptional results in 2022 Scholarship examinations

Recently the 2022 NZQA Scholarship results were released. Macleans College students were awarded a total of 99 Scholarships including seven at Outstanding level.

Two students achieved Outstanding Scholar. This award is worth $15,000. They are:

Allan Han (Batten House, current student) - Outstanding Scholarship in Chemistry, and Scholarship in Biology, Earth & Space Science, Agriculture & Horticulture, Statistics, Calculus and Health & Physical Education.

William Gao (Upham House 2018 - 2022) – Outstanding Scholarship in Physics and Earth & Space Science and Scholarship in Chemistry, Statistics, and Calculus.

Ten other students were awarded three or more scholarships and will receive awards worth $6,000 each. They are:

• Wei Tian Teo (Rutherford 2018 – 2022)
• Yunwen Sophia Xu (Hillary, current student)
• Ruiying Lisa Ye (Kupe 2018 – 2022)
