Excellent Results at Auckland Secondary Schools Mountain Biking Competition

The final race in the Auckland Secondary Schools Mountain Biking Competition was held recently at Woodhill Forest.
The Macleans College teams produced some excellent results, with all earning podium finishes.
Matthew Wilson (Kupe House) won 1st place in Race 5 and was overall series winner for U20 Male category. George Furniss (Batten) gained 3rd place in Race 5 and 2nd place for the overall series.
Congratulations to all the team for their overall series places. They included:
- U20 Shelley Pfister (Snell) 3rd
- U15 Laura McCabe (Snell) 4th
- U17 Joel Newson (Kupe) 5th
- U20 Oliver Murray-Brown (Snell) 7th
- U20 Elijah Paul (Rutherford) 10th
- U17 Ethan Allerby (Upham) 11th
- U17 Dominic Thompson (Rutherford) 19th
In the overall results the Macleans College male and female teams were placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Many thanks to the volunteers who helped on the day to be marshals and their commitment to ensuring that the students were at training and available on race days.
