ESOL students enjoy an interactive day of learning at MOTAT

Year 10 ESOL students from Macleans College recently embarked on an exciting learning adventure to Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT).

They were accompanied by teachers Mrs Fahey, Ms Du and Mrs Shipway. Upon arrival, students were divided into two groups to explore exhibitions focussed on the development of transport and communication technologies over the past 200 years.

A highlight of the visit was a hands-on educational workshop led by MOTAT educator Emily. Students also enjoyed a ride on the heritage tram and participated in a scavenger hunt that brought the exhibitions to life in an interactive and enjoyable way.

The trip provided an excellent opportunity for students to expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of technological change, all within a dynamic and inspiring environment beyond the classroom.
