Macleans College community supports lifesaving blood drive

Macleans College students and staff generously participated at the recent annual blood drive hosted by the New Zealand Blood Service in the school gymnasium.
There was a strong turnout over the two-day event, with 115 blood donations collected. Each donation is separated into three lifesaving components: red blood cells, plasma and platelets. As a result, these donations may help save the lives of up to 345 patients across New Zealand.
The New Zealand Blood Service expressed sincere gratitude for the generosity and commitment shown by students and participating staff members.
Thanks are also extended to the prefect helpers for their support of both donors and Blood Service staff throughout the event.
Macleans College looks forward to welcoming the New Zealand Blood Service again next year for another successful blood drive.
