Climbing the Mountain-Biking Summit

Year 13 Macleans College student Matthew Wilson (Kupe House) will be representing New Zealand in the Under 19 team at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, to be held in Quebec, Canada later this month.

The course is 4km long with around 200 metres of vertical elevation in each lap and Matthew will be completing five laps plus a start loop.

There will be over 100 competitors and this will provide Matthew with an excellent opportunity to improve his world ranking, which is currently outside the top 90.
