On the first day, Sinopia took to the stage in the Quartet Finals and impressed the capacity audience with their performances of “If I Had My Way” and “Deed I Do”. In a tough field with stiff competition from the Wellington region in particular, the girls were crowned 2018 Champions - the first Macleans College Quartet to win the title since 2012.

The next day the full 55 strong chorus took to the stage.  Macappella were clearly audience favourites with their resonant sound and precise choreography led by Melody Lowe.  Their performances of “Go the Distance” and “When That Midnight Choo Choo Leaves for Alabam”, left a strong impression on the panel of adjudicators and were announced 2018 Chorus Champions - a title that has alluded Macleans College for 17 years.
