Macleans College’s Cheerleading team has secured the Scholastic Grand Champion title at the Spring Carnival Cheerleading competition. The national achievement marks a memorable milestone for the team - now in its sixth year.
The competition took place at Eventfinda Stadium on Auckland's North Shore. The Spring Carnival also included the Secondary Schools Cheerleading Championships. The team won gold in the Grade 4 division of the High School Cheersports category.
Competing against 20 other school teams from across the country, the team delivered a performance that impressed the judges. They praised the team's energy, execution and confident projection throughout the routine.
The team was led by captains Indi and Greer Nicholas (Snell House). The students would like to thank their coach, Morgan, for her hard work and continued support and Mrs Lathey for managing the team.
