Challenge and Mana students tackle river crossings course

This year the Macleans College Year 11 Challenge course has expanded to include a Year 11 Mana course for female students, alongside the traditional course offered for male students.

The Challenge and Mana courses, although different, run concurrently.

On Wednesday 5 February, Challenge and Mana students joined forces to undertake a river safety and crossings course at Vector Wero Whitewater Park.

Students had to work together, as a team, to cross the rising river. Along the way they learnt about the dangers associated with river crossings and how to keep themselves and others safe when crossing.

Although challenging, it was a lot of fun and the students showed determination, courage and resilience. The students are looking forward to all the adventures that lie ahead this year.
