Business Studies Students tour the Chelsea Sugar Factory

Posted on August 14, 2018

On Tuesday 7 August the AS Business Studies classes travelled to the Chelsea Sugar Factory in Northcote.

The students spent the day rotating through three activities; the factory tour, the interactive zone, and the kitchen.

The factory tour was incredibly educational as the students saw a real life secondary sector business in action. The students learnt about the production process as well as the function and role of packaging in the industry.

The interactive zone tested their brains with a series of activities including a slider puzzle, which no one was able to solve.

The kitchen was definitely a highlight as the students were allowed to bake chocolate chip cookies under the guidance of pastry chef Kim.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational day.
