Bronze medals and personal bests for Macleans College swimmers

A group of talented Macleans College swimmers competed at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships, held in Hawkes Bay.
This event brought together the country’s top young swimmers. Macleans College students achieved impressive results, with several recording personal best times.
Standout performances came from Samuel Asiata (Batten House), Aidan Taylor (Mansfield) and Jonathan Bao (Kupe).
Samuel earnt a bronze medal in the 16 year old boys' 400m freestyle with a strong and focused swim. Aidan also claimed bronze, in the 15 year old boys' 400m individual medley. Aidan’s result reflected his versatility and skill across all four strokes. Jonathan impressed in distance events, securing bronze medals in both the 13 year old boys’ 800m and 1500m freestyle.
These podium finishes highlight the athlete’s dedication, discipline and consistent training.
