Bronze medal at President’s Cup fencing tournament

Held at Wellington High School, the President’s Cup is one of the most competitive fencing tournaments in New Zealand. Top fencers from across the country, including Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch took part.

Eddy Zheng (Snell House), Matt Wang (Mansfield) and Larry Lin (Batten) all competed in the Senior Men’s Foil, a division of 18 fencers.

Eddy Zheng had an impressive tournament, progressing to the semi-finals where he lost to the eventual winner of this year’s President’s Cup. Eddy finished in third place and was awarded a bronze medal.
