Success on the court at 3x3 Basketball Regional Tournament

Eight Macleans College basketball players competed in the 3x3 Basketball New Zealand Regional Tournament at Bruce Pulman Arena.
3x3 basketball is a fast-paced variation of the game, played three-a-side on a half-court with a single hoop. The format emphasises speed, skill and quick decision-making.
The event brought together some of the country’s top emerging talent, creating a highly competitive environment.
The boys’ team progressed to the quarter-finals in the Open Grade. The girls’ team also performed well, finishing ninth overall.
Justin Choi (Upham House) achieved an outstanding individual result, placing third in total points scored across the tournament. Claire Zou (Te Kanawa) was recognised with the Leadership Award for her positive impact both on and off the court.
