Macleans College student, Bobbi Passau (Rutherford House), is one of 42 New Zealand art students who has been selected to exhibit work in the nationwide Ringa Toi exhibition.

The exhibition which is held annually, showcases the artwork of secondary school students who are working with a focus on Toi Maori. Work displayed in the exhibition showcases a range of Māori art forms including raranga, kākahu (wearable art), tukutuku, tāniko, whakairo, kōwhaiwhai, mahi-tā (paint, print, spray), uku, whakapakoko (sculpture) and mahi-matihiko (digital).

The exhibition is traditionally displayed at Te Papa in Wellington but due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year the organisers moved to an online exhibition platform to ensure the student artists and their work could be recognised and celebrated.

Bobbi has been a highly engaged Visual Arts student at Macleans College, studying both Visual Arts Design and Photography in her final year.
