Year 13 student Yishan Jin of Kupe House has recently returned from attending the London International Youth Science Forum.

She was one of eight New Zealand students selected for this annual event. The Forum is a two week residential event which attracts 500 of the world’s leading young scientists aged 16-25 from more than 75 participating countries.

The aim of the LIYSF is to give deeper insight into science and its application for the benefit of all mankind and to develop a greater understanding between young people of all nations.

Yishan also travelled to Paris for the week long CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research) Discovery Programme. After this she went to Geneva where she visited CERN, the location of the largest particle physics laboratory in the world.
