31 August 2015 Dear Parents Senior School Examinations These commence this Thursday for Cambridge students and Monday 7 September for NCEA students. The teaching staff have been giving guided revision and direction on how to study for the past few weeks. The examinations are an excellent opportunity for your child to sit practice papers under examination conditions and have their answers marked to Cambridge and NCEA standards. Details are on the school website. Co-curricular This year has been a particularly busy one with our students participating in a wide range of activities. The school has once again achieved numerous successes. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for their continued commitment to our co-curricular programme. My thanks also to our parent help and support. Key dates for the rest of Term 3 and Term 4 The end of the secondary school year is particularly busy with the commencement of Cambridge and NCEA examinations, junior school examinations and senior and junior prizegivings. Hosting International Students

Macleans College provides educational opportunities to students from many parts of the world. Our Term 3 enrolments include students from Brazil, Italy, China, Taiwan, Chile, Germany, Japan and Thailand. |
These students choose to come to our school for a number of reasons. Our robust academic programmes, the geographical location of the school, the reputation that the school has in the area of pastoral care and for lifestyle reasons. |
We have a well-resourced International Department who support the students during their time with us. One of their roles is to place these students with caring homes in the local community so that they enjoy the benefits of being part of a family while they adapt to our language and culture. |
