Dear Students

I am looking forward to seeing you on Monday.  We will begin the day with form period and a briefing from your House Leader.  Seniors go to your form class. Juniors go to the House area and Commons. Spread out and do not gather in tight groups.  No hugging, no High 5’s, no fist bumps!

There are some important guidelines to follow under Alert Level 2.

  • Good hygiene practices - regularly sanitise or wash and dry your hands, use good cough and sneeze etiquette.
  • Stay away from school if you are ill.
  • Maintain physical distancing - in schools at Alert Level 2 this means maintaining a physical distance so that students are not breathing on or touching each other. There is no minimum distance requirement for schools at this level.

Our Property and Grounds staff have been busy preparing the site for you to return.  All classrooms have been sanitised and disinfected, we have increased our cleaning roster to sanitise shared equipment and high touch areas, and we have stocked up on hand sanitiser.

Please note:

  • The Commons kitchens are closed. The vending machines and tuck shop are open.
  • Drinking fountains are closed. You will need to bring a drink bottle. It can be refilled at the Commons tap.
  • You will not be allowed to share personal stationery.

NO TOUCHING!
When you see your friends, you will want to shake hands, hug, high 5, or fist bump.  Don’t!  Keep your physical distance.

Support
The Guidance team, House Leaders and Form Teachers are available to help if you need advice or support.  This may relate to catching up on work or other issues you are dealing with.

Getting to school
Auckland Transport have indicated public buses will have reduced capacity.  If you come to school by bus you may need to catch an earlier bus than usual to get to school, or you may have to consider cycling, walking or sharing a ride.  Please see your House Leader if you are late due to an issue with the bus.

I look forward to welcoming you on Monday.

Kind regards
