| Each house at Macleans College chooses a charity to fundraise for throughout the school year. Kupe House chose Bank of New Zealand Kiwi Recovery Trust in 2001 as its chosen charity. |

| The Bank of New Zealand Kiwi Recovery Trust is on a mission – to enable kiwi to once again flourish in their natural habitat for generations to come. |

| This fully independent and registered charitable trust is a partnership between one of New Zealand’s major financial institutions, the Bank of New Zealand, and the Department of Conservation. The Trust supports the work of Bank of New Zealand Kiwi Recovery, which is responsible for the conservation and management of kiwi throughout the country. |

| Its aim is to work with iwi, communities and conservation groups in a combined effort to once again fill New Zealand’s night air with the calls of kiwi. |
