The following students have made the finals for the Young Sports Person of the Year Awards being held at the Vector Arena on 12 November 2009. Congratulations to:

Judo Championships

Three Macleans students competed in the New Zealand National Judo Tournament in Palmerston North on the weekend of 25-26 October. Congratulations to:
Alyosha Yachine from Upham who received Gold in the Intermediate Boys under 55kg category.
Jonathan Liley from Mansfield who recieved Bronze in the Senior Boys over 55kg category.

Cricket Selection

Congratulations to Alex Eastwood from Mansfield who has been selected for the AKSS 1st XI Cricket Team that will play in Christchurch at the beginning of November.

Girls Cricket
<empty>
Macleans won by 10 wickets. Massey batted first and scored 23 for 8 and their allocated overs. Alex Eastwood taking 3 wickets for 5 runs in 4 overs and Nakita Patel 3 wickets for 4 runs in 4 overs. Macleans 24 for 0. Alex 17 not out.
