Awards at Stage Challenge

Seven Excellence Awards were presented to the Macleans College team that competed at the Stage Challenge Competition held at the Aotea Centre, Auckland, last night.
The cast gave an outstanding performance with the finale being the ultimate event for the evening.
This involved a blackout with eight dancers in black morph suits covered with strings of LED lights which left the crowd cheering for more.
Macleans College received the following awards.
Excellence for Costuming Character
Excellence for Performance Skill
Excellence for Concept
Excellence for Drama
Excellence for Soundtrack
Excellence for Lighting (the only school to receive this award)
Excellence for Choreography (the only school to receive this award)
Macleans College was placed second in the Raw Division. This means no sets can be used so bodies are used to create the scenery.
