David Winn has shown form to hit two centuries in the last two cricket games for the Macleans College 1st XI.

In the last three weeks, the 15-year-old Year 11 student has scored 106 not out against Sacred Heart College, 104 out against Saint Kentigern College and 58 runs against Kelston Boys’ High School.

Sacred Heart won their game while Macleans won the Eastern Schools 20/20 match against Saint Kentigern and the game against Kelston Boys’.

David has a focused approach

to his batting now that he is more seasoned and knows what is required on the pitch.

The Zimbabwe-born cricketer came to New Zealand five years ago but his interest in cricket began when he was a pre-schooler batting and bowling in the backyard.

His younger brother, Liam, plays for the Macleans College Colts cricket team.
