Edwige Largeau, an exchange student from France, has been at Macleans College since July and is thoroughly enjoying the experience.

She has fitted into school life with ease where she has made many friends. School and New Zealand are different to her life in Beauvoir-Sur-Mer and although she has adapted to kiwi ways she misses French bread.

Edwige enjoyed touring the South Island as it was so different from the North Island of New Zealand and because

it reminded her of parts of Beauvoir-Sur-Mer. This area in France is near Nantes and two hours by train from Paris.

When she returns home in July she will continue for two years at secondary school and then may undertake university studies.

The 16-year-old is being sponsored by the Half Moon Bay Rotary Club and she will spend three months with four different Rotarian host families.
