A 16-year-old German international student at Macleans College has been placed second in the black and white Ilford Shield Competition.

He will return to the Edith-Stein Schule next year after studying at Macleans for the last six months.

“I have really enjoyed the experience here at the college and in New Zealand,” he said.
“My homestay has been good and I have enjoyed different food like lamb.”

Part of his experience was to play rugby for several games.
<empty>
Raphael eventually plans to study ICT/graphic or film at university.
