Leading pianist, Lawrence Wong from Macleans College, has won the Ronisch Auckland Secondary Schools Piano Competition held in the weekend.
<empty>
He performed the Clementi Sonata in F# Minor, the Debussy Minuet from 'Suite Bergamasque' and the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody number 11. <empty>

Recently, he won three cups in the West Auckland Performing Arts Competition where he was also placed first in the Mozart piano concerto section playing K459 in F major.
<empty>
Lawrence will perform in a Chinese concert in the Auckland Town Hall in November and next year he will have two performance opportunities with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.
