| He is staying with home-stay host parents, Nancy and Phil Hornblow, and he is comfortable in the sunny, spacious modern home where he has his own room. He has also been exposed to new types of food which he likes but he still retains a penchant for pasta and lasagna. |
| Mr and Mrs Hornblow enjoy having Riccardo with them as he is like another son. |
| Riccardo won a national Italian tennis title in 2006 and he enjoys singing. At the end of the term he will return to Arenzano for a further two years at school before attending university like his 20-year-old brother. His father works for a computer company and mother works in the export industry. |
| Macleans College offers the Cambridge (UK) International Examinations as well as the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement. The college also has the largest number of international students compared with any other school in New Zealand. |
