Excellence Award to Macleans Teacher

The National Excellence in Teaching Award has been presented to Macleans College teacher Miss Robyn Restieaux.
The presentation was made at the college formal assembly today with members of the National Excellence Award in Teaching Awards attending.
Miss Restieaux, a member of the English Faculty, was one of eight New Zealand teachers selected to meet the panel earlier in the year in Wellington .
Today it was officially announced that Miss Restieaux was one of two secondary teachers to be honoured with excellence at national level.

Author Tessa Duder presented the award saying Miss Restieaux was "bursting with enthusiasm" to share her passion for English language and literature.
Mr Drew Umber said Miss Restieaux was an example of the best in the profession who exhibited outstanding performance and would inspire others.
Mr Umber said students and parents had made the nomination and nominations were invited for 2005. He added Macleans was a school that fostered excellence.
Miss Restieaux thanked the organization and paid tribute to all the dedicated students who had given incredible joy.
