The Sea |
 |
| |
The sea was like a tide of tigers;
Frolicking to the beach, padding back
To later play again.
Enormous paws, patting at the stones,
Passing them around like a meerkat and a snake.
The sun goes down, and so does its spirit,
Curling up, settling, the waves are like a purr. |

The Wolf |
 |
| |
The wolf is like the sea, forever there;
Endless stamina to chase and worry at…
Nothing
Enormous grey shoulders, crashing against the beach,
Rolling back.
Powerful muscles, hidden beneath stormy black skies,
Padding away, spent, to wake and worry at the beach paths again. |

| The Wild Domestic |
 |
| |
The domestic cat has a spirit like a striped tiger
It lazes beneath the shady tree like a leopard
Sprinting after a brown rat like a spotted cheetah
Sniffing a bloody carcass like a lion
Sunbathing on a smooth grey rock like a puma
Cuddling its tiny young like a bobcat
Coming when it's called like the domestic cat it is. |

A Dark Forest |
 |
| |
The dark forest is like a panther,
Its huge teeth-like pine trees
Eating away at the light.
The ground its feet, tripping you up with its unseen ruts.
Striking out with the roots, its hidden claws.
While the tail-like river sways in the darkness |
